Default System memory
I constantly get messages that system memory is low. I have a DELL Studio XPS 1640 with 6Gb of RAM. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have increased virtual memomy to 12000.

That should be sufficient to run the computer efficiently. I am not running many programs at the same time.

How can I fix this problem?

Default Re: System memory
Number of programs doesn't matter when it comes to out of memory errors. It could be one of the programs you're running is a memory hog.

What programs are you running when it happens?
What state is the computer in?
Was it just woken up from sleeping?
Was it idle with screensave active?
